Description

An Expertise Skill for the proper handling of all types of blades
This skill is entirely passive. The benefits apply only as increases to the chances to successfully compound melee weapons.


Progression
Requirements to unlock: Complete the quest received from the Masterly Dwarf in Shinjuku Babel (The Road to Smithing- Swordsmith Option).
Raising: You can raise Crafts by using its associated chain expertise, Swordsmith.

Currently capped at Class 6 - Rank 5.

The Road to Smithing

This quest unlocks the Swordsmith chain expertise.

It gives you Blades expertise at 1-0.
This quest has the following requirements:

Minimum level of 20.
Prior completion of Extract the Aluminum! quest.
Expertise in Weapon Knowledge of 1-0.
10 Opals if completing the quest prior to completing Smith Crown and 10 Rubys if completing after Smith Crown.
Note: Make sure to have Blades expertise unlocked prior to turning in the stones.
You will be required to show him a Machete to finish the quest. You may show him a vendor purchased item, or a compounded item to satisfy the requirement.
Note: Machete Recipe A uses Bronze, Iron, Cedar and Whetstone.
Talk to the Masterly Dwarf about compounding, choose the The Road to Smithing option, and follow his entire dialog to complete the quest.

The reward is 3 dwarf four-leaf clovers.
